REV Games2027
A completely new format. Not a race against a clock — a five-block competition scored on what you put into it.
Lock in your spot30 days before race day.
Injuries happen. Work trips happen. Life happens. If something changes between now and May, you get your money back — no questions, no fine print, no store credit.
Which means the only thing you're deciding today is the price you pay. Wait, and this one is gone — presale closes, tickets come back at full price, and there's no version of waiting that gets you a better deal.
It's a testament to your fitness.
A race asks one question: how fast. It rewards the same athlete every time and sends everyone else home wondering why they bothered.
The REV Games asks five. Power, strength, engine, heavy loading, survival — five blocks, fifteen minutes each, every one scored on its own. You don't beat a clock. You accumulate. The more you deliver, the more you're awarded.
This is the format that encompasses any and all hybrid training. And it doesn't exist anywhere else.
Nobody gets a zero
Every block is measured by effort delivered, not by whether you beat a cutoff. Here's what that means for you on the floor.
You can't be cut
No time cutoff to miss, no elimination, no DNF. You work the full fifteen minutes of every block and you leave with a score on all five.
One bad block won't sink you
Each block scores independently. Blow up on the ergs and you still have four more to earn back. There is no single moment that ends your day.
Complete beats specialist
The runner who can't load and the lifter who can't breathe both leave points on the floor. The athlete who shows up everywhere wins.
You choose your load
Compete at Standard weights, or step up to Hercules and Athena for heavier loads. Same blocks, same clock, same scoring — you decide how much weight is on the bar.
The full points model releases with the official rulebook ahead of race day.
Five blocks
Fifteen minutes each. Five disciplines. One accumulated score.
A dumbbell complex that climbs. Ground to shoulders, front rack squats, devil's press — start at two reps of each, run 200 meters, then come back and add two more reps to every movement. Round after round, the ladder gets taller. It's called The Rev Up because that's exactly what it does to you.
Fifteen-minute AMRAP on the bar. Five deadlifts, ten yards of transition work, three push press, ten yards back. Simple to explain. Brutal by minute nine.
A straight race for time under a fifteen-minute cap. 500 meter ski, 500 meter row, 25 calorie assault bike. Pure engine, nowhere to hide, and the only block where the clock is the enemy.
Fifteen-minute AMRAP in a ten-yard lane, down and back until each distance is done. 200 meter single-arm farmer carry, 100 meter overhead plate carry, 40 meter bearhug walking lunges. Every yard you cover is a yard on the board.
Five three-minute intervals, continuous clock, no rest. Run 400 meters, then bank burpee box overs with whatever time is left. The next interval starts the second the last one ends. This is the finale, and it does not let up.
Practice Facility · TCU
You're not competing in a parking lot. The Games run entirely indoors on TCU's full-size turf — climate controlled, stadium lit, under the banners of a program that's produced two national championships and eleven Hall of Famers.
No heat, no wind, no rain plan. In May in Texas, that's not a luxury. That's the reason your legs still work at block five.
Three ways in
Not sure yet? Register now and choose your division later. You'll lock in Solo, Doubles, or Teams when registration opens to the public, roughly four months out from race day.
Solo
One athlete. Five blocks. No one to tag, no one to cover for you. Scored inside your own age bracket against athletes on the same page of life you are.
Doubles
Same format, split however you want. Strategy becomes the whole game — who takes the ergs, who takes the carries, when you swap. Bring the person who makes you better.
Teams of 5
Five athletes, one score, tag-ins at the transition area. Block five runs as a full relay with a dedicated athlete on every movement. If you have a gym crew, a run club, or four people you trust — this is the one you drag them into. At $250 for the team, it's half the per-athlete cost of going solo.
You're scored against your peers
Solo athletes compete inside their own age bracket. Doubles and Teams are scored overall rather than by age.
Athletes aged 16–17 require a parent or guardian waiver at check-in.
Standard, or step up
Every athlete runs the same five blocks on the same clock. The only thing that changes is what's on the bar — and that's your call, not ours.
Standard
The weights the Games are built around. Challenging, moveable, and where the overwhelming majority of the field will compete. If you're not sure, you're Standard.
Hercules & Athena
For athletes who want the weight to be the test. Every barbell, carry, and loaded movement goes up — the format, the time caps, and the scoring stay exactly the same. Hercules for men, Athena for women. Scored and belted separately from Standard.
Hercules and Athena are available across every format — Solo, Doubles, and Teams of 5. Nobody is placed into them; it's opt-in when you select your division, and exact loads for both standards release with the official rulebook.
Can I actually do this?
If you're asking, you're the athlete this format was built for. Here's the truth, straight.
- →Nobody fails out. There is no cutoff you can miss and no way to be eliminated. You work the clock, you score.
- →A first-timer and a podium athlete do the exact same event. The difference shows up on the scoreboard, not in who gets to be on the floor.
- →You're compared to people your own age. A 52-year-old isn't chasing a 24-year-old's numbers.
- →The heavy division is optional. Hercules and Athena exist for athletes who want more weight. You are never placed there — Standard is the default.
- →And if you commit and it doesn't work out, you get your money back. Full refund up to 30 days before race day. Registering today costs you nothing but the decision.
- →Doubles and Teams let you lean on people. If solo feels like too much for year two, bring a partner or a crew and split the work.
- →You'll know exactly what's coming. The full rulebook, standards, and weights release well before race day, and we run free race simulations at both REVSTRONG locations in the lead-up.
Every entry includes
Winners in every division — Solo, Doubles, and Teams, for men, women, and mixed — walk out with a belt. Not a medal. A belt.
Event shirt and finisher patch for every athlete who competes.
The whole community in one room when it's over. Details closer to race day.
A full day competing on Sam Baugh's indoor turf, climate controlled start to finish.

Before you register
I've never competed before. Is this for me?
Yes. There are no qualifying standards and no way to be eliminated. Every athlete works the same fifteen minutes per block, and you're scored against people in your own age bracket. Plenty of year-one athletes had never done an event before that day.
What weights will we be moving?
There are two standards. Standard is the default and where most of the field competes. Hercules (men) and Athena (women) run heavier loads for athletes who want strength to be the test — same blocks, same time caps, same scoring, scored and belted separately. You pick at registration, and exact weights for both release with the official rulebook.
Do I have to pick my division right now?
No. Register now at the founding price and lock in your division when registration opens to the general public, roughly four months out from race day. If you switch categories and there's a price difference, we'll sort it out — just reply to your confirmation email.
Do I need my Doubles partner or full Team named at checkout?
No. Grab your spot now and add your partner or your full team later. All you're locking in today is your entry at the founding price.
What if I get injured or something comes up?
Full refund up to 30 days before race day, no questions asked. Inside 30 days, {{LATE_REFUND_POLICY}}.
How is this different from last year?
Completely. Year one was a HYROX-style race — run, station, run, station, fastest time wins. 2027 is a five-block point accumulation format that doesn't exist anywhere else in the sport, plus a Teams of 5 category no other event offers.
Can people come watch?
Absolutely — bring your people. Spectator tickets go on sale closer to race day, so your crew can grab theirs once the date's locked in their calendars.
